World Cafe Playlist for 03/30/2022

World Cafe 30th Anniversary show with host Raina Douris

This year, World Cafe celebrates 30 years of presenting significant artists and their music on public radio. On the next anniversary episode, we’ll revisit a 2019 interview with Gloria Gaynor, who tells the story of hearing the DJ at Studio 54 spin her song “I Will Survive” for the first time. Then, we’ll jump forward to 2020, when actor and jazz musician Jeff Goldblum gave a memorable performance drawn from his album, I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This. All that, plus another young voice is inducted into the Cafe’s 30 Under 30 list, shining a spotlight on new artists poised for greatness.
