“Captain” Kirk Douglas joins host Stephen Kallao
“Captain” Kirk Douglas performs for a nationwide audience every day – He’s best known as vocalist and guitarist for The Tonight Show’s house band, The Roots. But when the pandemic locked everyone out of 30 Rock, he got to work on his solo project, Hundred Watt Heart. His new album under that moniker is called New Unknown, and on it, Douglas plays most of the instruments, in addition to producing for the first time. We’ll hear all about that experience, plus the story of his peculiar encounter with Prince.
