John Cales Paris 1919 Is An Intensely Praised
John Cale’s Paris 1919 is an intensely praised album from the avant garde musician. Though it was released in 1973 (and reissued again in 2006) it still sounds perfectly fresh. A well thought and detailed review from Pitchfork (for the 2006 reissue) says among other things:
It has often seemed to be Cale’s most personal and revealing work… a deeply felt meditation on loss, dislocation, and introspective yearning.
Today’s Final Vinyl is the title track.
