Joy Oladokun joins host Raina Douris
One of the most personal and incisive protest songs released in the wake of the Black Lives Matter protests last summer came from Nashville’s Joy Oladokun. In “Who Do I Turn To?” she sings about what it’s like to feel unsafe as a Black woman in America. We’ll hear how Joy almost didn’t release that song, and she showcases new music from her forthcoming album, In Defense Of My Own Happiness, Vol. 2.
