August 15, 1969 – Woodstock – An Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music

Today in 1969, Woodstock kicked off at Max Yasgur’s 600-acredairy farm in the Catskills near the hamlet of White Lake in the town of Bethel, New York. Over 400,000 people showed up and is now looked upon as “ apivotal moment in popular music history.”
