August 24, 1975 – Queen started recording ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ at Rockfield studio’s in Monmouth, Wales. Freddie Mercury had prepared the entire song in his head beforehand and directed the band throughout the sessions, which took over 3 weeks to complete. Mercury, and Taylor sang their vocal parts  for ten to twelve hours a day, resulting in 180 separate overdubs by the time they were finished.
