How To Make a Lafayette Po’ Boy in 10 Easy Steps

Givers hipped us to Lafayette’s Olde Tyme Grocery, who were gracious enough to allow us into their kitchen to document their po’ boy-making process step by step.

1. Get fresh bread.
2. Douse it in mayonaise.
3. Deep fry breaded shrimp.
4. Toss the shrimp to drain.
5. Arrange them on the may-coated bread.
6. Add secret sauce of your choosing. (Old Tyme wouldn’t tell us what theirs is, it’s a secret!)
7. Shred fresh lettuce.
8. Add the lettuce and sliced tomato, cut.
9. Wrap.
10. Serve.
