This is one grey cold generally terrible month. But there are some good things recently on my radar:

Lady Lamb The Beekeeper’s new song “Billions Of Eyes” shows a real leap for this artist from Maine. (Above)

“Somebody Was Watching” – the voice and distinctive guitar are all Pops Staples recorded months before he passed and the song has been brought to life by his daughter Mavis and Jeff Tweedy.

Courtney Barnett’s Sometimes I Sit and Think and Sometimes I Just Sit . Remember this is really her debut album and it’s spectacular.

Philadelphia’s Hop Along signed to Saddle Creek Records with an album coming out this year. If it’s as good as this Weathervane video, I’m all ears:
