World Cafe Playlist for 01/18/2024
The Aces join host Raina Douris
For a long time, The Aces tread carefully when it came to writing songs about their hometown of Provo, Utah — and how difficult it was growing up as queer kids in their mostly Mormon community. But, on their latest album, I’ve Loved You For So Long, the indie pop band decided to open up more than ever about their story so far. As part of World Cafe’s Sense of Place: Provo series, we sit down with the four-piece band to talk about their latest album, growing up in Provo, plus The Aces perform live.
