John Morrison joins host Raina Douris for The Black Roots of Rock and Roll
Throughout February, music journalist John Morrison is helping World Cafe celebrate Black History Month with a series called The Black Roots of Rock and Roll. He’ll dig into how black artists have influenced – and in some cases invented – rock, decade by decade. The series continues today as Morrison shines a spotlight on black rock innovators from the ‘60s and ‘70s, including Sly & The Family Stone, George Clinton of Funkadelic, and more.
