February is Black History Month, and every week World Cafe correspondent John Morrison has been stopping by to talk about some of the Black Innovators of Rock & Roll, decade by decade. For the final installment, we’ve arrived at the new millennium! John shines a spotlight on Black artists from the 2000s who made their mark on rock – Like Santigold, who weaves in Caribbean, electronic, and dub influences. As John puts it, now is an exciting time for Black musicians who play rock music and what one might call “weird” music.
