Bonny Light Horseman join host Stephen Kallao

Bonny Light Horseman is a project of three friends who got together to make new folk music, inspired by the spirit of old folk music. That trio is Eric D. Johnson of Fruit Bats, multi-instrumentalist Josh Kaufman, and Anais Mitchell, creator of the Broadway musical, Hadestown. They’re live in the studio today playing a set of traditional songs, reimagined. And we’ll learn how they dug up these ballads and spirituals, and the name Bonny Light Horseman is explained.
