Metallica joins host Raina Douris
Heavy metal and classical music come together on Metallica’s latest album, S&M2! For the second time, they’ve teamed up with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra to reimagine a collection of their best-loved songs, following up the original S&M album from 1999. We’ll hear some of the new recordings, and drummer Lars Ulrich joins host Raina Douris to talk about Metallica’s career, from their beginnings in the underground metal scene in the ‘80s to becoming one of the biggest bands on Earth.
