Omar Apollo joins host Stephen Kallao

In just six years, Omar Apollo has gone from working at Guitar Center to being Grammy nominated for Best New Artist. In between, his song “Evergreen” went viral on TikTok and became his first hit. He’ll perform that song live on the World Cafe, along with others from his debut album, Ivory. And Omar discusses his journey and the long road to releasing the record, which Omar scrapped entirely and rewrote on the verge of its release.
