Maggie Koerner joins host Gwen Thompkins from New Orleans

Maggie Koerner was pursuing a master’s degree in Child Psychology when a friend heard her sing and convinced her to make a career out of it. As she explains today, it lit a fire under her, and she’s since released two full-length albums and worked with bands like Galactic and The Revivalists. We’ll hear Maggie’s conversation with World Cafe correspondent Gwen Thompkins today, plus a live performance recorded with her band in New Orleans.
