John Morrison joins host Raina Douris
Thirty years ago, Massive Attack released their debut album Blue Lines and it changed music forever. For the first installment in a new series called The Culture Corner, World Cafe correspondent John Morrison takes us back to the UK in the early ‘90s when the record was released. He’ll dig into the history behind Blue Lines, why it made such an impact at the time, and why it’s still so important now. And of course, we’ll listen to tracks from the album, like “Unfinished Sympathy” and “Safe From Harm.”
