Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, frontman Jupiter Bokondji makes music that’s a fusion of Congolese, American, and European influences. And while his lyrics often tackle the serious issues facing his nation, the music is undeniably danceable and fun. Jupiter & Okwess have a brand new album coming out called Na Kozonga, and they’ll perform songs from that record in a special live mini-concert.
