Judy Collins has made a lot of other songwriters famous. She began her career singing other peoples’ music, turning American audiences on to artists like Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen with her hit covers. But it was a conversation WITH Leonard that got her thinking about penning her OWN songs.
