On the World Cafe, we’re introducing you to a group of up-and-coming Country and Americana artists who are part of the Black Opry, an organization that advocates for Black artists in country and Americana music. In the second part of our series, you’ll meet Samantha Rise, a Philadelphia-based artist, activist and performer with a background in Jazz, and Denitia, a Nashville singer/songwriter who plays a unique fusion of country, folk and rock.
