World Cafe Playlist for 09/12/2024
Katie Pruitt joins host Stephen Kallao
On her 2020 debut album, Katie Pruitt sought understanding from the world around her; The Georgia native grew up queer in a conservative Christian family. But Pruitt wanted to turn inward on her follow-up record and focus on the compassion – or lack thereof – she had for herself. On the next World Cafe, Pruitt joins us to talk about making Mantras, shutting down negative self-talk, and how her relationship with her family has evolved since that debut album.
