When Lido Pimienta was 19, she left Colombia and moved to Canada to pursue her music. She’s now a Grammy-nominated and Polaris Prize-winning artist with a remarkable stage presence. After all her successes, her latest album, Miss Colombia, sees Lido revisiting her birthplace for inspiration – She calls the record a “cynical love letter” to her home country. On an encore edition of the World Cafe, we’ll hear a special live mini-concert of some of her latest songs.
