Encore: Loretta Lynn joins host Raina Douris
Loretta Lynn had an incredible life story – A mother of six who married young, she balanced her family and career to become a country music star. Her songs, like “Coal Miner’s Daughter” and “Honky Tonk Girl,” often told stories about the experience of being a woman in America, which is a big part of her enduring legacy. She passed away at 90 years old last week. On the next World Cafe, hear her conversation with host Raina Douris recorded last year, upon the release of Loretta Lynn’s final studio album – her 50th – called Still Woman Enough.
