Strand of Oaks joins host Raina Douris

“Galacticana,” the first single off Strand of Oaks’ new album In Heaven, is a celebration of being together after a long time apart. Fittingly, Timothy Showalter of Strand Of Oaks was recently the first in-person guest at the World Cafe studios since March, 2020. The conversation captured in this moment was emotional – Not only because it was finally face-to-face, but also because In Heaven came out of a challenging few years in Tim’s life, including the loss of his mother-in-law in a tragic car accident. We’ll hear about the new record, plus a recent live performance near Philadelphia that was a sort of homecoming for Tim.
