In one of World Cafe’s favorite interviews of 2022, Duran Duran’s lead singer Simon Le Bon talks about the band’s latest album Future Past and reflects on the video Duran Duran made in the ‘80s, hoping to get banned from MTV. Plus, Black Thought and Danger Mouse. The pair started to collaborate two decades ago but then lost contact, as Gnarls Barkley took off for Danger Mouse and Black Thought got busy playing with The Roots on Late Night. In 2017, a phone call jumpstarted their creative relationship again. The duo talk about that call, their new album, and how they bring out the best in each other.
