Encore: Big Thief joins host Raina Douris

Big Thief’s new album recreates the sense of security and comfort – a sense of home – that the group experienced while bunking together in a cabin to work on their music. You can hear it in the creative batch of new songs on Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You. On this encore edition of the World Cafe, Big Thief frontwoman Adrianne Lenker and drummer James Krivchenia talk about playing in Levon Helm’s barn, Adrianne’s emotional journey as a band member, and we’ll find out which song was recorded during a power outage.
