Encore: The War and Treaty joins host Ann Powers

Tanya Blount started singing R&B as a teen, and Michael Trotter discovered his musical calling while serving as a soldier in Iraq. Together, the married couple are The War And Treaty. Their career has been full of surprises, and today we’ll hear some of those stories, like the time they filled in for Nashville legend Buddy Miller at an Americana Fest showcase. The War and Treaty have a new album coming out in the Fall, but today we go back to 2018 when the duo’s debut was just released.
