World Cafe Playlist For 08/09/2022

Nearly four decades after its release, Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” is one of the most streamed songs on the planet today. It’s thanks to the new season of Stranger Things that the 1985 hit has been given a second life – and has sparked quite a bit of interest in the song’s author. On today’s World Cafe, we’ll hear an early conversation with Kate Bush from 1993, when she spoke with original host David Dye about her ambitions, working with Prince, and her love of Elton John.
