Led by vocalist Carolina Oliveros, Combo Chimbita is a quartet of first-generation New Yorkers whose backgrounds are Colombian. The band grew up loving heavy metal, psychedelic funk, and soul, and they recently performed a stunning live show in Philadelphia as part of World Cafe’s 30th anniversary celebration.
