Encore: Combo Chimbita mini-concert with host Stephen Kallao

Led by vocalist Carolina Oliveros, Combo Chimbita is a quartet of first-generation New Yorkers with Colombian backgrounds. The band grew up loving heavy metal, psychedelic funk, and soul. In celebration of the World Cafe’s 30th anniversary, the group performed a stunning live show in Philadelphia this past Spring. We’ll hear that set on an encore edition of the World Cafe, including songs from their most recent album, IRÉ.
